So I decided to finally buy a good cap and rotor for my car since when I last needed one the only one they had was the cheapest POS on the shelf and I didnt have time to order one. Well let me tell you, I put on an MSD performance cap and rotor, and man does my car run better, idles better and the was deffinately a SOTP gain in low and mid rpms.

So to treat my girl for being nice to me today I gave her a sponge bath!

Yeah it would look better if I had MSD wires so I could use the top cover thing.

Too bad they dont make the rest of the distributor as good as the caps.

Thanks for the info, Mikey. So are you comparing the MSD cap's performance to that of a worn POS cap? Or was the POS cap in pretty good shape. Just wondering whether I too should get an MSD cap.

Well I have a pretty hot coil and it was melting grooves into the terminals. Pretty much anything with brass terminals should be good.

I say if you were doing a tune up I would go ahead and get something good. This way I at least know it will last a little while.
