Which engine gasket set?
1983 Mustang GT, 5.0, 4speed, has a date of 12/14/82 written on the core support...
I'm replacing the intake, and headers, and wanting to fix a few leaks (esp the rear main) and decided it was better to get a complete engine gasket kit. I was looking at fel-pro... I'm getting confused on the years listed for some of these kits. Some list 62-83 years, one listed 62-11/30/1982, one listed 83-85 HO...
So what is a good quality gasket kit. I'm buying used parts so i'll be needing all new gaskets.

fel pro or mr gasket... call the manufacturers tech line for specifics if your not sure what production dates are included, chances are that you'll need the 83-? because they build 83's in summer of 82... jmo

Yeah I talked with a few guys at NAPA and they all recomended Fel pro. I ordered the part no. FEL-KS2326 which is the complete engine gasket kit that fits passenger car applications built 12/1/82 to 12/30/85. My stang was built 12/14/1982 so I should be good. $68 so that isn't to bad. Might have to pull the motor and do all the gaskets!
