Default Exhaust Question

Hey guys, it's nice to be back reading the forums after a year at college. Now that I'm back home and the stang is back on insurance I want to change out the exhaust (there is a leak anyhow). It's a 95 GT and all of the exhaust is stock. I already know I'm going to put on an x-pipe along with flowmasters. Now I have two questions.

Can anyone share their experiences with 1 chamber, 1.5 chamber, and 2 chamber flows? I want something that sounds badass, but I don't want to get a huge headache everytime I take a 45 minute drive. Then again I do want all the heads to turn when I pull away from a stoplight.

Second question. I remember last summer there were some posts about ordering flowmasters and someone said they knew where to get discounted flowmasters (a site that sold the flows for less than their listed price) but they couldn't post the link because of forum rules or something. They said to e-mail them for the link. Whoever that was, I'd appreciate the info either PM or e-mail.

Thanks

You can get the quiet-thunder cat-back, I belive they are 3 chambers. They will be louder when you get on it but cruising they are quieter.

Bassani makes the quiet thunder cat-back, Flowmaster makes the American thunder cat-back. The Bassani kit is about $500, and the Flowmaster kit is less than $250 at Summit Racing. I have the Flowmaster American thunder cat-back on my '96 and it sounds great. The American thunder cat-back has 2-chamber Delta flows, and trust me they will turn heads especially when you get on it, but they are very reasonable when cruising, so you shouldn't get any headaches.

They make both those kits for dual exhaust right? What's summit's website?

I've got the american thunders too and they do drone around 2 grand. Not loud it's just the constant noise that not everyone likes having all the time. Alright, now I gotta go look up what the 3 chamber flows are called...I believe it's the force 2 I was thinking about, thanks for the correction. I was just thinking american thunder: quiet thunder.

Ok one more thing... Other than a change in sound, would having both an x-pipe and 2 chamber flows increase my acceleration more than just having one of them?

I have an off road H pipe and dual chamber Flows, not sure what series, but I take a 400 mile trip once in a while and with 2.73s going 75MPH, you can hardly hear the exhaust over road noise and stereo(Premium Ford Stock) at 1800-1900RPM.

Ok, so having both an x-pipe and 2 chamber flows will give me more HP than just having the x-pipe or just having the flows?
