I wouldnt recommend a 10 point cage.... you would be perfectly fine w/ a 6. Also, why are you going to strip the interior if its just a street car? I would just leave it in.

Well, I would definetly keep the carpet, door panels, quarter panels, etc. I just think thats retarted for a street car. Also, like I said before. Dont do a 10 point cage... that will look really gay in a car that has 300 hp.

what part of a 4.6 quad cam with a blower, cams, and a built lower end says 300hp? i said it would be stock for now and i would be building up the other motor later. when i do the interior i am going to do it once. i also plan on driving it on the street, but it will be as much race car as possible. i do plan on taking it to autocrosses, and road courses for some track days. i want people to look at it and think, damn!! is that legal? and ill match my gutted, aluminum paneled, 10pt caged 300hp stang against your stang any day. just bear in mind that every thing about this car will scream race car, except the glass, headlights, dash, and opening doors.

Ill answer your question since everyone started to go off topi, my suggestion would be not to forget the suspension and go with a tubular k-member, but you werent go to forget that sinced you said you wanted to do autocross
