Default GOT the stang in the garage, now the fun begins, any suggestions??

ok so i have my 84 GL in the garage, all stripped down. all the interior is out, except the dash, the 2.3 is long gone, and the tranny is gone too. hoods off, trunks off. i pulled all the nasty chrome window trim off. my goal is to put all the stuff on it to convert it to the 93 style. i also need wiring for the chassi as i cut that all out too. even though the car only has 60k on it, i want every thing new, and i know i have a lot of work to go, but the 32v 4.6 will have all its electronics under the hood, and i am tossing in a 93 dash, column, and multi function switch. i am going to have a push button start w/ a hidden kill switch, and all aftermarket guages. looking for suggestions of things to do and how to make it easier. i am going to put in a 10pt cage, and a full aluminum interior

Don't make it a 93 model, 93's don't come with forged pistons.

Well, he said he's going to be running a Cobra engine with the 32V DOHC 4.6L V8 (305hp?)

That's pretty freakin' awesome.

If I were you, first thing I would do is get the motor and tranny ready in there, you're gonna end up doing some fabricating work.

ORIGINAL: 347Stroker Cougar

Don't make it a 93 model, 93's don't come with forged pistons.

I'm sure that he doesn't plan on a Concourse repro!! Why would one make it like a 93 on the outside and inside?

The 93 is killer on the outside and I'm sure (read:hoping) that he'll make a better engine to match.

Great luck to you!

347 + EFI!!!!!

My $.02,
Ivan

ok as far as the motor, i have 2 96 cobra motors. one will be installed in stock trim for now and the other will be built up with a twinscrew some day. as for fabrication, i can get a race craft Kmember all set up for a 4.6. im not sure what ill need to do as far as a tranny crossmember. and as far as the interior, think race car. the only thing that will be original mustang inside will be the head liner, and the dash. every thing else will be covered with thin aluminum (all the open areas that the stock plastic covered. i am putting in a 10 point cage, and a 6 speed.
