Hey everyone, like the title says i just got done installing the tfs kit on my 94 cobra. I have a couple of problems. First the car wont even try to idle, i have some backfiring coming out of the trottle body, and my car is dumbing so much extra fuel out the tail pipe that my cats were glowing red hot. I know i need a tune but im almost scared to drive it someplace

Check the timing, make sure you have the firing order correct.

it should run pretty well you missed something, dizzy off? timing off? cam off? you shouldnt need to tune it to get it running pretty well

it seems to run pretty good past about 1500 rpms so i wouldnt think its the timing

Verify timing and check for vacuum leaks...

Make sure your plug wires run 13726548 firing order. 1234 being on the PS, 5678 on the DS.

your upper and lower intake manifold has a very specific and touchy procedure for the torque/bolt pattern. if not follwed to a tee, you will develop an intake leak rather or not you know it.

In your case unmetered air is entering your engine and is unacceptable.

What injectors are you running? Do you have a fuel pump large enough to supply it with enough fuel? Like the others said, timing, firing order, and vacum leaks might also be a problem.

in terms of my fuel system. its just stock cobra stuff. 24s and whatever the fuel pump is for the car.
