I went out to walmart and bought some of that limo dark tint they sell and did it myself, 3 roles for about 50$ and did every window but the windshield.


Went to a local auto shop and was quoted 125$ for the same windows.

well i dont really wanna go through the hassle of doin it

since baseball is really hectic right now [playin to go to the WS]

and my mom said she'll pay the other half

so it should be around $125? so probly $150-170 over here in the los angeles area

Yeah probably around there since you're west coast. But if you want to save money, go the way I did it. Took me about an hour- hour and a half. All you have to do is cut a little bigger then window, spray on water, lay it own, get air bubbles out, let it sit and dry, cut the excess off and walah. It's easy.

and i may get it done cheaper since my uncle goes there w/ every car he gets

he gets a new car every 2 months and turns his old car in

and id rather have it done professionally/right

because i know me..id do something wrong

and taking the old tint off would be a PITA for the hatch

i saw my bro try and take his tint off..fuhhhk i dont wanna do that

Purple tint usually comes from cheapo tint, or using amonia based window cleaner on it.

I also had purple tint on my 88. Once I found where they layed it on at I just peeled it right off. It was really easy but than if left a nice sticky film on the windows.

Also, its illegal to tint your front windshield isnt it? I think it is in NJ.

regular Windex and a razor-blade will take the adhesive from the tint right off....

Some states allow the windshield to be tinted, i think south carolina does, but not positive on that...

^^ Im almost positive that NJ doesnt allow you to have them at all. I am going to check up on that.
