Default anyone running an F cam?

had a B303 in my old '85, my friend has a E303 in his 347 ... i loved the way the B felt and sounded ... but just curious as to others opinions on the F303 (and for that matter the Z or the X if anyone has any input) ...

looking for like idel, sound, and "pull" characteristics ...

thanks ...

I'm Running the Z cam and it works great!

The idle is pretty lopy at 228/228 duration @0.050 compared to the F cams 226/226. It also sounds really racy with the 11.5.1 compression i'm running. The Power hammers you at around 3300-3500 rpms and pulls all the way to the factory 6250 rpm rev-limiter.

All Fords cams are very good exept for the B. Everyone says there an all sound no go cam and there right. If anybody said alphabet cams suck then there retarted

Nobody said the alphabet cams suck, but there is much newer (and better IMO) technology out there. Don't get me wrong...I'm running an E cam w/ 1.72's...

If I had it to do over again I'd look at a custom cam or the TFS cams.

My motors got the f303, 512 lift 288 duration, and its mint. The idle sounds good and it makes good power from 2k- to about 55hundred. I'm happy with it.

theyre all used for different applications. the B may run better in one car than in another. its all about matching up to your HP range. which is easier to do with a custom, but can be got pretty close to with an alphebet cam. just get the one in your powerband range man, no matter which one it is.

Agree! I can't see how people just buy a cam because it works for one of their buddies cars.

I mean, unless you got the exact same setup, it's not going to work for you. Why don't people think about the fact that there are like hundreds of options when selecting a cam? I mean, they are specific for a reason right?
