It is definately easier if you want to change gears while at the track with a 9", but who on here would really do that??? Just build an 8.8 with all the right parts, race axles, hardened gears, full/ mini spool, etc... and I bet you will never blow it... Synyster

i was just lookin at options. i found a notch 4 bang for 100 bucks that i may pick up and let sit for a while and evenutally turn into a big block drag car.
