well what could be the cause? i dont have any money to fix them or get them checked out. hell, i dont even know where i would get them checked out. anyways, what could be wrong with the tranny? its not like a whine its more of a howl like i said. it doesnt make sense, the guy who sold it to me is really picky and owned 12 foxs. so i think he'd be able to tell after he got the car back from getting it done.

also above 1500, all i can hear is exhaust... its like, when i give it gas the howl goes away, but if im just cruzing at a low rpm in 5th it howls. ive tested it out to see if it goes away and it does when i accelerate.

they're bad, they clunk and stuff. im changing them as soon as i can.


oh yea, and they sqeal like a virgin on prom night too.

My FRPP 3.73s whine a little bit, but barely noticeable. Also, my friend has 3.42s in his Firebird and they whine, but I wouldn't call it a howl.

Just how loud is this "howl"?

its a loud ghostly howl, its undescribeable.... i wish i had a way of recording it. i wouldnt call it a whine... its a deep sound.

Well I hope so. Someone said that calling an offroad shop and getting some ujoints from them would be better because they are stronger. Is this true?
