Really? My sloped end is facing filter as well? Looks like it made sense with sloped end facing air flow (looks like designed to scoop air better). If this is wrong can someone comfirm this otherwise mine is in backwards.
Thanks.
Thanks.

you got it in backwards, the flat part with the smaller hole is supossed to point towards the filter.

The sloped end is the inlet side, on the filter side.
I'm not sure you can put it in backwards. I don't think the three holes would line up.

ok, got the idle pretty smooth by clocking meter to about the 10-11 o'clock position.
with meter straight up and down like it should be, it runs rough as hell.
Installed K&N filter and the above true flow pipe, engine sounds different now, lot more
of growl at full throttle, then even before when air silencer was already off.
Is this right? could it still be running rich or lean?
idles nice now but at about 100rpm higher then before install.
think I'm ok?

No, but they looked clean. How do you clean them?

You did clean the MAF wires before you installed the sensor on the top of the maf right?

why not it won't hurt perforance......
are you running a filter in the engine bay or one in the fender well
don't runing one in the engine bay as 2 things happen ..1..you get out air pulled in and ..2.. you will get "air wash' over the filter from the fan
