Block Question

Is there a difference in the 302 shortblock of a 1991 GT and the 302 shortblock of a 1969 cougar? I know that this block has 10.1 pistons but I am wondering if the TF street kit will fit on this block without a lot of hassle. Any clearance problems that anyone can foresee?
