Default Noise from rear

...noise from rear...

When driving, I hear a constant low sound...like my rear hubs or something. Would it be my differential needing more fluid. Its hard to describe the sound. It almost sounds like I am running on a low tire...thought I am not. Understand??

Also, how long does a steering pump that is going bad last?

I have an 88 GT and have the same problem. It seams to be only on the drivers side, but I am not certain? It is not constant- comes and goes, but it has me guessing!

could be your rear gears or maybe axle bearings on either side. thats really all thats back there thatll make noise. besides maybe brakes.
