hey, i work at a steel plant that recycles junk cars into steel beams, maybe i'll go find a mexican block and take it to one of them and let them do their metallurgy stuff to it and find proof to da troof!

is there a bare block out there new that will hold 500+ hp but wont be over a grand lol??? i kinda wanna start buildin a motor for next year maybe a 331 stroker.....

The Mexican 302 will have unused bosses on the front of the block.

Stock 351W, bolts up in same place and most everything swaps over easy.

302 was never designed with 500hp in mind

Mexican block has same metal as all others...
From everything I've seen over last 15+ years, theres really no advantage to it......
Get Dart block, lotsa $$$ but it will work real good. Shop price on it too....

there is a definite advantage to a mex block versus a latemodel block, there no dispute about that.

So other than the pics I've seen of the caps being more stout, I've seen no other proof that the Mexican block is stronger. Anyone have dyno sheets or otherwise to prove that it is?

forget the caps, looks at the main webbing
