I just recently tore my engine out to fix a problem that sounded like a rod knock. Sure enough it was, the one nut loosened its way almost completly off. EEK!!!

So I decided to build this engine up to a serious 302!

I bought a set of Jegs/ Jon Kaase Aluminum Heads. For those of you who don't know what they are, they have 2.10/1.60 valves, 247cc intake runners that flow 323 CFM at .600 Lift.

I also bought a set of 0.030 over TRW 12.0.1 Pistons to handle the added power, got 1.7 roller rockers that bump the lift to 583/583 with a Z cam, and than top it off with a Trickflow Box Intake with a 75mm throttle body.

Theres an article in jegs about the heads with Jon Kaase. They did a test on a completly stock bottm end 100K 5.0 with a 218/228 cam with stock rockers, A holley systemax intake and these Kaase heads and it made 381 BHP

What do you guys think about this set-up with the Kaase Heads. What RPMS and HP will this motor Crank out?

jon is the best ford engine builder in the country period. I had the pleasure of working with him on some of my stuff. I learned alot. There is a reason why he has claimed the last 10 consecutive pro stock titles with his 800 inch motors.

let me also add, not to burst your bubble, but the tuning kaase does and the small things he does is very rarely replicated by anyone, so dont expect after reading that article that your build will compare completely, cause it wont

Do you think the motor will pull to 7000 rpm and make 400 BHP? Thats all I want

the heads have the runner size and velocity numbers to make 650+ on a big inch small block, ya it will do what you want. Its all about the valvetrain after 6500rpm.

email me the specs comp,pistons,air flow on headsmvalvesize,stroke,cam specs..i have a awsomecomputer dyno..its a lil off but only a few hp at fly not wheels... what intake../// efi or not....carb size...fuel injecter size...
