LX, it could be your quadra-shocks.
I've been getting alot of wheel hop lately too, so I ordered some MM lower control arms and a new poly bushing kit from energy suspension, along with the upper control arm rubber bushing from MM. I spent like 600, but hopefully it'll fix the wheel hop and improve the suspension enough to make me happy.
With new lower arms, you can take out the quadra-shocks.

put some performance rear upper and lower control arms on, you can get all 4 in a package deal for like $300. or put trackion bars on it. and "packing" the bearings means get some axle grease and smear it all over and inbetween the bearings before you put them in to prevent them from burning up. best way to do it is get a plastic sandwich bag, put a bucnh of axle grease in it, drop the bearing in, zip up the bag and smash the grease into the bearing

thanks! I will copy and past your info on a word document! I guess my rear bearings having a little play don't have much to do with my wheel hop. It was really radom my car suddenly just started hopping when I kicked it out. really irritating. I got to fix it!
