i have a C 4 auto trans and i noticed the flywheel has "aod C 5" stamped on it im confused when i did a part search it says the C5 flexplates are 14" in dia. which mine is and it said C4 flexplates are 13.5" in dia are they saying my trans is a c5 ? i didnt know ford made one or am i just misunderstanding the part numbers i know my trans is a 3 speed no overdrive and when i went to the local parts store my flexplate matched the C4 flexplate im trying to figure out the balance of my flexplate and maybe anyone with some info on this part # could help me,thanks

ok so from what ive found out is a C5 trans is actually a C4 with the large bellhousing all 1976 up ford C4's have the big bellhousing with 164 tooth flexplate just thought id post in case anyone cares to know this
