Default centrifugal supercharger

i am new to the carburated 302 world and have a few questions, i am sure that a couple of the questions have been asked befor. so if they have i am sorry.

question 1 with a centrifugal supercharger is it better to have the carburator feed the supercharger or to have the supercharger feed the carburator on the intake mani?

question 2 will the supercharger bracket be the same from a 85 302 and a 86 302, the reason i ask that is because i see alot of supercharger kits that fit the years 86 through 93 and they are only $1700 and the ones for 85 are $4200. i am just wondering if the bracket and supercharger will fit, the rest i can make.

thanks matt

Q1: you always blow into the carb using an s/c box that surrounds the carb.

Q2: the 86-93 ones are so much cheaper cause they're fuel injection and
dont require a carb box for the s/c to blow into. It's not the brackets. A 302
block is a 302 block everything bolts in the same place.

Trying to put a centrif s/c on a carb is rather expensive vs. an EFI set-up.

you could always get a wiring harness and computer and intake manifold and injectors and fuel pump ........ lol
off ebay and switch to EFI, lol

you might look into a MadMax stlye roots blower, but you're not saving any money there either.

if you have an 85 dont even think about switching it to efi, the gods will strike you down If you run the blower, just use a bonnet and blow through carb, the carb boxes are horrific.

i agree

if you buy the cheaper kit youll have to get a custom pipe to go to the car from the sc and buy a blow through carb but other then that you should be good to go. id have it dyno tuned if i was you
