cranking but not starting pt.2
Hello all-
Can somebody please tell me what a "tfi module" is ...
My 95 GT just started having this same problem ... it has a powerful crank. and just takes forever to turn over, and when it finally does, it it like "sput, sput, sput .. then vroom... kinda like it wants me to pump the gas, which of course I don't.
Somebody said the modules go bad a lot .. well, do they go bad spontaniously, or gradual.. it just started happening on Wed. morning.. Although my car seems to kinda want to die like when I am coming to a stop, like at a light .. but it never does... AND it just seems like if I punch the gas, there is a slight delay....
I am taking it to the shop tomorrow and I want to have some idea of hwat could be going on ...
Thanks in advance.
btw: it's a 95 GT Vert... all stock (as far as I know) with 81k miles. (is it time to replace plugs/wires?)
Thanks again

Ha HA! yeah I read part 1
don't trip on those guys too much we've all play terrorist here. anyways back to your question the TFI module is this
in Fox's they are mounted on the distributor. and doing that makes them go bad. Ford fixed in the problem in 94 when the mounted it on the inner fender under your air filter housing. Check your pick up coil inside your distributor. it's this thing that cost 18.99 at autozone.
