my total for gears (3.90), rebuild kit, and isntallation came out to be, 550 bucks. My tires don't like to break loose, they'll spin a bit off the line but no smoke show unless I power brake it up till about 2500 rpms and let go of the brake, that will all change though after the 3000 rpm stall. It probably also doesn't help that I'm at 6000 ft. elevation, DAMN COLORADO!!!

I have got some ****ty azz tires tho too. if i had some sticky tires i bet it would be a different story. I dont mind to much right now though cause i am just gonna burn all the that hard *** crappy rubber up for the next couple months till i need some new ones and then start takin it easy for awhile.

I guess I'm lucky, I work in a shop, I know quite a few mechanics. If I get them beer, they'll install anything for me. But up to this point all that I've had them do is my gears. But the other nice thing about working there is that I get all services for free just as long as I do them, stuff like tranny flushes, coolant system flushes, powersteering flushes, **** like that.

when i took my car in to the ford dealer they wanted something like 200 just to charge it and like 300 to change over to some new fluid thats cheaper to recharge and it would only cost like 100 to charge after that but since i live in seattle and it only gets into the 80s or 90s about 10-20 times a YEAR around here and i have a vert it wasnt something i was willing to pay. now take me to LA and that moneys gonna come out like the hookers on martin luther king way!
