My brother has an Auburn in his Firebird, its strickly just a drive to the track race and drive back type car so it doesn't get much daily driver use. He runs 12.70's on the motor and 11.70's on nitrous with 1.7's in the 60. He's had it in there for I want to say about 6-7 years now. If you are really worried about it tho, yea send it back and get something else. I personally have a True-Trac in mine, I got it since my car is a daily driver and it doesn't have any clutches to wear out.

Ive heard great things about Auburn and the Auburn Pro... I'd keep it. If you look long enough you can find something bad about almost any part...

Unless they got smart, the prob with Auburn LSDs is that when the clutches wear out, they take the case with them. Otherwise, they do work better than plate clutches.
