lol how can he tell if its bent with out lookin in /at it...maybe a loose rod bearing but cant tell but listening if its bent....

it's supposed to put coolant directly into my intake? the header gasket is new, i just installed bbk shorties. this sound doesnt sound like a header leak but would spraying some soapy water around it show a leaking header?

no, coolant flows thru the EGR spacer (the thing between your throttle body and upper intake) there shouldn't be any coolant actually inside your intake.

And even tho they're new don't rule out the header gaskets, the tiniest leak can get big really fast, especially running it hard....

i checked for the header leak and came up with nothing. in my manual it says to place a screwdriver on the rocker arm as the engine is running and to see if you can find a noticable difference in any of the arms. well i did all the above and came up with nothing (no noticable difference in the rocker arms). btw the coolant i was talking about was from the egr.

you ever heard a car start up with a bent rod? you'll know right away when you hear it.

did you ever get the valve cover off? and when you start the car and listen to the noise, does it sound more like a clicking or more like a knocking?

i highly doubt its a rod, itd be really loud if it was a rod, and it could be the lifters not getting enough oil, just because your gauge says your oil pressure is right doesnt mean its right, esp if its a stock gauge. id check that then slowly work to the other issues the guys said to eliminate them.
