i dont have a shift kit and ive done burnouts from 1st to 2nd and into 3rd (thats when it grabs) [8D]

i noticed someone mentioned there car didnt shift into the next gear at WOT.. mine has done this a few times. it scared me cause the car just kept reving higher even when i manually shifted it.

i let off the gas and it went into gear smooth

also have 155,000 miles on it and to my knowledge is the original

i cant wait to get a shift kit though.. much fun

I had a shift kit (sold it to 89GTRed) -didn't come to me w/ a video either- But everywhere I tried to take it...they said it would cost a ****load of money...or they wouldn't wanna do it...cuz the tranny wouldn't hold up w/out a rebuild...that's why I sold it...lol and I honestly didn't/don't think I have the mechanical ability to have done it myself....[][>:]

so wait why dont u want it to shift into OD w/ the shift kit? i know for just driving my tranny shifts smooth but from 3rd to OD if i let my foot off the gas around 45-55 mph it slams into OD... no clue why? i dont think it has a shift kit in it. but so when u change the valve body & install the shift kit how do u control the shifts? and do u always have to control them? or can u just drive regularly with your foot on the gas?
