RE: Stroker Recomendation
i havnt done **** yet lol. im waiting on a loan again to buy parts then ill be building in a few weeks.
If you plan on going with a sc i would go forged internals.
as for components. I was always told not to use scat cranks, but i have one, so we'll see how it goes.

As for forged vs cast, it all depends on what you plan to do with the motor. If your not going to be putting any power adders (nitrous, blower, turbo) then i would go with the cast pieces, they are good for 400 - 500 hp. Not to mention that cast is LIGHTER than forged. From the reading that i have done, the stock block is only good for 500 or so hp anyway, so if you plan on going with a power adder, stop right now and buy a good aftermarket block, then go and buy all the forged internals.

A good hypereutectic will match a good forged piston in nearly every way except overstressing tolerance.
I wouldn't push a stock block much past 450.

RE: Stroker Recomendation
Small difference tween 331 and 347 HP wise. Keith Craft does outstanding work. Sorry for the shamless plug but they do excellent work. There is nothing wrong with DSS, they are selling what practically every other catalog house is selling. IF and I mean IF you buy a complete short block the internals will be machine matched (meaning no interference problems) If you by it piecemeal there is no guarantee but I WILL promise you problems, however a GOOD machine shop can work magic.
Bottom line
FORGED FORGED FORGED
That guarantees you will have little or no weakness in the lower end later when you decide to twist off 'n get crazy, why not do it right the first time?

RE: Stroker Recomendation
you dont need a forged untill you get around 500hp...a good nodular is fine... i have bought 3 new stroker kits off ebay and all were gr8...a scat crank is a good crank....if yo uare not ever gonna get around 450-500 hp id not worry about a forged crank....but they are good to have if u juice it alot or plan one a big hp set up
