BFG Traction T/A

RE: BFG Traction T/A
they are actually quite the opposite. If you are looking for a sticky tire to run that will handle good in the rain, go with something like a toyo proxes t1-R, or get what I have... Sumitomo HTRz. The HTRz's have a 160 treadwear, which makes the tire soft and very grippy

I have these on my 85. The previous owner just bought them just before he took the car on the power tour in June. They are nice on the highway, h-rated, and make lots of smoke. But they certainly are not what I would have chosen, they almost look like snow tires! It's tough to find a decent performance tire in a 225/60/15 these days though. If I don't go to 17's before these are toasted (not likely) I will probably run some yokohama es100's as my next set. They are a much more performance oriented tire. But still only h-rated in this size I think.

lol my buddy bought a set of the bf drag t/a's for his 420ci 87 lx. pretty funny actually as half crap radials hooked up better. id imagin the drag t/a are stickier so the tractions would be like ice skates. he may have a bit to much car though as he went 9.23@144mph on slicks (on the bottle) last year at brainerd. he was not impressed with them at all, he bought some to try to run some street classes this year for some cash (as the m/t's are outlawed) but he couldnt get them to hook for anything. even the old more psi and shock them a little more with the tranny brake (as this is supposed to help drag rad's work) failed to help much. best he could muster was high 11's on the motor peddling it nearly the whole way. the car has proven mid 10's on the motor with slicks so you can see he was dancing pretty good.
