LX & GT Swap?

Default LX & GT Swap?

Buying a 93 LX 5.0 for a parts car for my 92 GT. Will I run into any compatability problems?

No, not as far as the driveline is concerned. Even the body parts are interchangeable, even though they're not all the same. A lot of people (myself included) like LX taillights better than GT taillights, so that's a common swap. Everything as far as I know will work fine. The difference between a GT and LX is cosmetic. I think the suspension may be a little different though.

If you want to replace your engine, bear in mind the '93 5.0 engines have hyperuetectic pistons, and '90-'92 cars have forged pistons.

should all be the same for those years I think. if one was an 87-89 there are differences, but according to the "expert" on the ford racing tech line any mass air computer will work in any mass air stang, well 89 through 93.

word. They say that the MT CPU's are the best to use whether your 5sp or c4, unless your still running an AOD - something about a more aggressive tune or something - may just be bs but thats what I've always heard and havent ever found anything to prove otherwise...yet
