RE: Looking For Info For A Tranny Swap From All The Experts Out There...
Yeah its possible, and if you work on a lot of stangs its not too bad. I did on my 92, i assume its not much different on a 94. besides the tranny, clutch, and flyheel, you need the pedal assembly, wiring for the manual (reverse lights and speed control i think), clutch cable, the right interior trim pieces, probably a different drive shaft, i know i did, bellhousing and probably a bunch of other stuff thats slipping my mind. If your car is anything like mine, all the holes already exist in the firewall, though on mine the spedometer cable was in the clutch cable hole so it had to be moved. THe pedal assembly is the hardest part of the whole ordeal, on my car i had to drop the steering column and be quadruple jointed to unbolt it from the fire wall. Then its a puzzle to get it out, getting the new one in is tough too, i think i spent like an hour or too just wrestling with it, i can't remeber, but i think i might have taken the dash out, i dunno, but anyways it is possible, but hard if you don't know exactly what you are doing, any more questions just ask.
