So I ordered my GT40 intake on ebay and got it the other day. The guy said it was new and never been on a car! He was aa fricken liar! I filed a claim against him on ebay and ordered a new one from a dealer in virginia. So I am out 550 bucks until paypal refunds my money or I sell it. It has a small dent in the back runner which isnt a big deal but I am really picky! And the gaskets were loose in the box and left marks all over the top that I cant get out! I wont be using ebay anymaore! BUY NEW!

I hope it happens... i was a victim of all out fraud an upheld by paypal... the only problem is that only addy paypal had or i was a p.o. box an required confirmation of delivery of returned material which i obviously couldnt get w/ a p.o. box... it was only $80 but still... paypal isnt all its cracked up to be... Ive gotten screwed afew times too. I bought a pioneer head unit and it didnt work, the buttons wouldnt work and the cd player would get disc read errors. Then I ordered a camshaft positioning sensor and syncroniser assembly for my taurus and the c vane inside was all messed up and no magnet. Buyer beware!! Chris

Ebay can be very useful, but definitley buyer beware. It is built on trust, so you must trust, but there are some a-holes out there that aren't all that honest....give them bad feed back so they can't get away with it as easy next time. I love ebay and will keep using it.

same here. i only buy from people who have at LEAST 10 good feedback and i never deal with anyone who has more than 1 bad unless i read it and it sounds justified. like i got a negative for giving someone else a negative. WTF is that??? and it says sorry about the problem hope we can work it out. rofl thats some bullsh!t right there. but i will continue to use ebay carefully.

While i cant say that i will never use paypal anymore, im VERY cautious... most legitamite businesses accept credit cards... and buying from a private party for me is just not likely... [:-]

Although you can find some awesome deals, you have to be very careful with ebay and paypal. I won some tires on ebay a few years back. I sent the guy a money order and I don't have to tell ya what he does then. He wouldn't answer any of my emails or anything. So, I got smart...I called the local police department. Lucky for me, he lived down the street from this station. They must have paid him a visit, because shortly after I made my complaint, he calls me and says, I didn't have to contact the cops. He claimed that he was out of town, but I didn't believe that at all. I got my tires and he got taught a lesson.
