being honest here. a street 393 needs high port heads to see 500 hp on the motor. edelbrock victors, kaase heads, afr 205's or twisted type r's. thats not cheap, but it can go mid 11's on the motor on pump gas. gt 40 heads will start choking at less than 400 hp. on 10.1 compression, a roller 306 duration with just under 600 lift cam, a victor manafold, and mid size headers will get you 500 horse on a 393. its still a 4k engine though.
