Default Clutch Cable Sinking into Firewall

Ok, my clutch cable sinks into the firewall just a hair when you push on the clutch. How do you fix this?
Also, has this happened to anyone else?

If you have the stock rubber grommet it will probably do that. If you want it to stop get a billet firewall adjuster.

I just had to replace that on my car, along with cable and quadrent. Bought a whole kit from Hays for $140. And now I'm haveing trouble with the clutch it grinds trying to put it in reverse, and the clutch pedal feels like its grinding...I'm pissed. Fixed one problem and created two. Good luck with yours.

The gear for reverse grinds on everyones car hear in the section.
Reverse is the only gear that doesn't have synchros, you have to put it in 5th first, then reverse.
What is this bullit firewall adjuster? Anyone have a link?

My reverse didnt grind before I put the kit in, I had to put the kit in because one day I was driving and shifted into third let the clutch out it made a "pop" sound and would no longer go into gear when the car was running. I figured it was the cable/adjustment so i replaced it and now it shifts like **** and the pedal feels horrible....now im gunna get a new clutch, hopefully that will work. Umm i dont know where u can get a billet firewall adjuster, the hays kit still had a plastic one but an aluminum quadrent and a "heavy duty" cable.
