Default Dyno results

Bone stock motor with 98,000 miles ............. 218rwhp and 276rwtq @ 4,800rpm

Much better than i expected

Stock motor, just got a tune up with 9mm ford racing wires.
C&L 76mm MAF w/ TrueFlow tube, K&N filter, air silencer removed, u/d pullies, timing bumped to 13-14*
EVERYTHING else original bone stock.

Nice numbers! Have you ever run it before this? How much good do you think bumping the timig does? 92 or 93 octane?

i definately felt the gain from bumping the timing...... and yes 93 octane. I could maybe even bump it aonther degree or two
but it's running nice as-is with no pinging.

Never been to the track or dyno before. supposedly you pick up about 3-4hp per degree of timing.

you'll know it when you hear it, will kinda sound like a knock in the engine

pinging is detonation or when the gas explodes as piston is still moving up
makes a pretty bad sound when that happens, you'll hear it.
