a c4 with a hardend input shaft (as the like to shatter at about 400hp) and tranny brake. i would not look at a ford c4 at all, i would look at the aftermarket for a tough one. one rated to 750 hp with a full warrenty is like $1200

yes a c4 is a 3 speed auto. i seen it at jegs. this one doesnt have a tranny brake in it becuase i figure i will let you decide if you want one or just foot launch the car

The Competition is designed for the street/strip enthusiast with up to 750 horsepower. It combines the latest in fluid technology and track-proven durability to provide a reliable product season after season. All Competition units handle the constant punishment brought on by large cubic inch, nitrous oxide-injected engines. They feature a full manual valve body, extreme-duty clutches and bands, and special sprags for increased torque and thrust capacity.

Yea but a C4 is definetly not something you want to drive on the street since it has NO overdrive. The best automatic tranny I have come by for street/strip application has been the Lentech Street Bruiser.
