Try shifting thru the gears w/ the car off. If it doesn't have the same issues, then your clutch probably needs to be adjusted, a quadrant/adjuster installed, or a new cable. If it still does it then you have tranny issues.

when the car is off....it has the same issue....if it is only lettin me b in reverse/5th i have to slam it real hard and like use both hands to move it from 5th to first or second for it to actually like get in gear....its the tranny huh...damnit!

a copule guys at the tranny shops that i called said it sthe linkage of the shifter or something...i dont wanna bring it over because they charge like 75 just to check it haha....damn

Might be tranny or clutch. I had a probelm putting in my gears and I was wondering why it was getting harder and harder and grind. Finally one day the car didn't turn on. It was cause I had no clutch what so ever. Put on a clutch and it was all good. Good luck though. Hopefully it's not the tranny.
