RE: firewall cable adjuster
i just had my T-5 rebuilt with a Zoom kevlar clutch pressure plate throw out bearing and pilot bearing. That S.O.B. is har to get in gear. i don't have enough play in the cable. The clutch engages about 1 inch from bottom.

RE: firewall cable adjuster
to adjust it with the firewall adjuster is easy, there is basically 2 parts to it. one holds the end of the cable sheath, and the other side is against the firewall.
you only need to adjust it if your clutch grabs right at the floor, or close to it.
you just turn the end of it counterclockwise.
all it does is seperate the sheath and cable, tightening up the cable.

RE: firewall cable adjuster
put it in all the way, then drive it and see where the clutch grabs and fully engages.
if it is too close to the floor, then try 1 turn out and see how much it changed, you dont need lots to adjust it.
if it is out too far, the clutch wont fully engage and will slip and wear prematurely.

RE: firewall cable adjuster
Look at a pic of a firewall adjuster online. One side of it attaches to the firewall and the other side screws into it and has the clutch cable run thru it. When you screw it out, it tightens the tension on the cable. So if you're cable has stretched, a couple of turns should fix it.
