I have GT40P's, you will need MAC shorty headers (only MAC's or a custom one will fit) and you will need a spark plug socket and a short (6") and wrench to do your plugs. I can do all 8 of mine rather swiftly after practice.

I have the GT40p's and I have FRPP shorty headers. The previous owner put the heads on so as far as fitment issues I can't help you there. I just recently did a tune up and I didn't have any problems changing the spark plugs.

Good Luck

I have the P heads with soem longtubes and I have to remove the header from the drivers side if I want to change the plugs. Also my plug boots are pressed right against the header on cylinder 6 & 7 so they are getting burned. It really sucks ***.

why geting the ECU from the Explorer i just buy a 90 stang GT ECU because my buddy told me that my car u can't put a cam on the SN95 because of the computer ...
You could, and set it up right..........'90 ECM's are better but, it's not a direct replacement deal, you would have to re-wire ECM pins, add EEC, fuel pump, A/C and radiator fan individual relays, sockets and wiring, and provide for a BP sensor....IMHO, it would be easier, more productive and flexible (long term), to stick with the SN95 ECM, and add a Tweecer/PMS/EEC-Tuner aftermarket EEC.

I looked at the gt 40's and the P's but i found that for me; the Blueoval Industries "Typhoon" style upper lower and heads did more of what i was wanting.
I thought that the Cobra wasnt fast enough for me and i wanted to have alot of high rpm push, more than the cobra. Since installing the upper lower and lowering the car i found it has alot more power between 2250 and 5,000; though it still dies out over 5,000
