I think the stock are 1.5's, 1.6 rollers will give you at least a 25 to 35hp gain but you need to change your pushrod a to .100 long over stock. It is well worth it. Also have you sub frame connectors put in as soon as possible, you would not be leave the stiffness it adds to a convt.

Stocks are 1.6

I went to roller 1.7 and am happy, also I didn't use longer pushrods, the bolted on with a little shim adjusting. Going from 1.6 to 1.7 will give you about .030 more lift and longer durration. I wouldn't wasted the money on 1.6

Well, I ported my heads at the same time, so I am not really sure of the gains on the rockers alone. I don't feel like I wasted my money on them. I would buy them again(the 1.7 is an upgrade)

The rockers I got were comp cams energizers and they were direct bolt ons. I had to shim only because I decked my heads, but I know other people who had to shim. I guess I also know people who had to get longer pushrods also, but if you go with the comp cam one, you should be alright.

ok, 1.7's are fine but what size cam and how much clearance did you have. I have been messing around a little with it myself and found at high rpm's I may bend a valve.

well, I think you can run about .530 lift safely on the stock set up, with the new rockers it put me just under .500 I think. I also decked my heads .030 and I have no problems and the car goes like hell. I wont add a cam cus I don't know my clearance, but if I did I would clay check first. The 1.7 rockers come stock on the 93 cobra, same block and the GT40 heads which have bigger valves(I think)
