Ok, I see for $50 and up you can get a pully to replace the air pump. Do I have to do the pully or can I get a shorter belt?

Next, how do i plug the air tubes on the back of the cyl heads?

You can just get a shorter belt. Theres no need to spend the extra money on an idler pulley you don't need.

The plug on e7te heads is 5/8s but on my e6 heads on my 86 its smaller, 3/8 or 7/16 I can't remember.

Yea I have a shorter belt on mine..............the yahoo before me did it so Iam not sure about plugging the holes???

Good luck on the belt. I had to go back to O'Reily's 3 times before mine fit.............uhggg

the back of the head is a 5/8 tap on the E7's

I left the air pump on, no need to spend money, also it blows air on my headers cooling them a little!

5.0 stanger car looks great, but for the pulley kit to delete the air pump its a waste of money, measure it and go to the autoparts store and buy one

I took the air tubes off the back of the motor and didn't initially see they were tapped for bolts. I cleaned out the crud and seen the threads, looks like a 5/8th bolt will work...
