Results from the track!!!

Well I just got home from the track man what a blast!!! I didn't realize how much the altitude would affect my times. Keep in mind that Bandimere Speedway is about 6000 ft. in elevation when you are looking at these, and it was ****ing hot and pretty humid, the temperature for all runs was about 90 degrees...

1st run with passenger (very first pass that I have ever made at a track!!!)
R/T: .343
60': 2.446
330: 6.807
1/8: 10.325
MPH: 69.51
1000: 13.373
1/4: 15.931

2nd run (by myself while shifting the 1-2 shift at 5300 rpms), my best run
R/T: .320
60': 2.482
330: 6.721
1/8: 10.147
MPH: 71.34
1000: 13.110
1/4: 15.526
MPH: 91.25

3rd run (held first too long!!!) But my reaction times kept getting better, I still need to work on them
R/T: .235
60': 2.430
330: 6.697
1/8: 10.140
MPH: 70.97
1000: 13.121
1/4: 15.625
MPH: 90.65

Just to give some comparison, there were some newer 02-04 stock vettes that were all running between 14.00 and 14.6

RE: Results from the track!!!

Oh and BTW, my car weighed exactly 3,450 lbs with me in it, I removed my two rear speakers and all of my spare stuff. I weigh 185 and I had 3/4 of a tank of gas in it.

RE: Results from the track!!!

It's the BIGGEST adrenaline rush that you will ever have man, it cost me tonight 35 bucks to get in, but it was a HUGE sanctioned bracket race. On a test and tune night I'd expect to pay 10-20 bucks. You have no clue what you are missing. i'm tired and I don't feel like posting my mods list but here's a general idea, full intake, full exhaust, full ignition, 3.90s and underdrives with an AOD trans (stock convertor), and some really ****ty tires. I'm having trouble finding a altitude correction calculator.

RE: Results from the track!!!

so you should be running what like 14-14.5 sec 1/4 if you were at sea level?

RE: Results from the track!!!

Yeah, which is about average for a 5.0 with my mods and a stock AOD tranny I guess. I could only stall up to 1400 rpms before the tires got loose. I can't wait to get that edge converter and see how much it improves my times!

i think you need a shift kit, dr's and a 3000 stall.

nice times though, nice and consistant. didnt do too bad cutting the tree for your first time either! little advice, work on leaving as the last yellow comes up. not too fast though, dont wanna red light lol

RE: Results from the track!!!

im sure it will help alot but you REALLY need some new tires. Im sure that will help prolly more than anything else for the price. your not gonna go anywhere if your slippin... get some slicks and you might just be in the high 13s depending on what the altitude affect is exactly.
