Default Newbie here w/ A/C question

Hey Guys, just acquired a nice '92 needs a couple of little items of work but the biggest problem appears to be the A/C. It needs refrigerent so will have to upgrade! Any suggestions or advice?

If all it needs is a charge, go w/ a product called Freeze 12. It's an r-12 substitute and compatible w/ 12. It works great and is not that expensive.

take it to a garage and have them vacumm out the old r12 and refill with r134a, its compatible and thats the latest a/c fridgerant out that i know of, they can also test the system for any leaks so that you know the compressor isn't leaking... just a piece of mind

134 is NOT compatible w/ R 12. The system has to be converted before hand and generally doesn't cool as well.
