timing problems I need help in a bad way
I have my vavle cover off an i'm lookin at the valves I rotate the crank 360 reach tdc both valves are closed and donnot move even when i pass tdc then i turn the crank 360 again when i'm at tdc the intake valve closes and the exhaust vavle is about to open so in a sense the are both closed which one which one do i pick to be the correct tdc so i can put the distributor in. please help

Stick your finger or something in the #1 spark plug hole and feel for the air "pushing" out instead of sucking in, thats when you know your on the compression stroke. TDC on the compression strock is your TRUE TDC
