1.6 rockers are better. They make more power under the curve. 1.72's make more overall peak power, but its in a power range that you rarely use. As for what brand, its personal preferance at that point. I run the old Motorsport Omega rockers, theyre nie and quiet. Crane rollers are pretty loud. Ive installed a couple of sets, they were so loud I called crane to make sure someting wasnt wrong, they told me thats how theyre supposed to sound.

Appreciate the input and if I went with AFR 185 or 165 heads, would I need pedastal or stud mount rockers?

I would go with the AFR 185's with 7/16's screw in studs. Youll need guide plates and hardened push rods as well. WIth those heads you could easily run a .600 lift cam, but youll need to get your pistons flycut. It would be well worth it, IMO.

Really appreciate that. How hard is it to get pistons fly cut? Do you also think the .600 cam is the way to go?

if you drive that thing on the street regularly...a .600 lift cam is going to be hell to deal with. Its gonna be lopey as any dragster youv'e heard, and your gonna need some hell of a valve train, because that .600 lift cam is going to beat it pretty badly, but where theres a will theres a way....lol. I have a custom .628/.628 lift cam im putting in my cleveland, but im only going to drive the car a little bit so i dont really care.

Fly cutting can be done at home with a special tool that you can buy and its shaped like a valve and you slid it thorugh the valve guide and you can do it like that or with a dremel, but you have to be really really carefull not to take to much out, becuase it will lower your compression if you do.

Vortech 5 psi SC, 190 lph FP, 30 lb. inj. TF Street Heat upper/lower, 73 MM MAF, 70 MM TB, fluidyne aluminum radiator, BBk 1 5/8 inch equal length headers, Bassani x-pipe, Flowmasters, 355 Gears, pulleys, and a bunch of other stuff that you probably don't care about.

What size/brand cam do you think would be streetable, but maximize performance? I also have heard a complete mix of whether I should with 165 or 185 heads.

BTW- I think I'll stay away from the fly cutting too. I could definitely screw that up.
