My bro has dumps, and it's so loud in the car, it vibrates your brain. If you like it loud, get the dumps.

Dumps are probably illegal, last I knew cars had to have the exhuast tips outside of the passanger compartment. I havn't heard of anyone not passing inspection or anything so I wouldn't worry about it.

I had flowmasters with dumps but I had to put the tips on because it was so bloody loud. The sound was excellent though. I just got tired of it after about 6 months. Its not hard or expensive to get the tips put on so go for it. You can always change it if its not to your liking.

You guys can laugh if you want but, are dumps just cutting the pipes right after the muffler? Would anything melt?

That's the dump part, they just angle down and "dump" the exhuast out towards the ground.

get both. use the mufflers on the street and use this for the track or when no cops are around http://buickgn.com/electricexhaustcutout.htm i had 2 on my '77 F-250 with a 351M. it had long tube headers (that were about 4 feet long) and then the dumps. DAMN it was loud!!!! i loved it.
