if I soak the gaskets won't water get into the heads while I'm tightening them/squeezing the sh*t out of them?
a couple drops isnt going to do any damage.

I used the gaskets that came with my BBK's without sealer and the work fine.

and you didn't soak them?

Man, I ALWAYS have bad luck with gaskets.

Any way you can think of to prevent lots of water goin down the ports?

just use the gaskets dry.
mine sealed up no problems.

water is not going to do anything but maybe a little smoke if that at all?????????

anyone know what torque to torque the bolts down to? Or just as TIGHT as I can get them?

Soaking them will expand and then when you tighten it down it should seal better.
Also, retighten the headers bolts after a few runs.
