Default '87 LX Notch $400

Im probably going to buy a 4cyl (running) 87 notch today. I have wanted a trunk model for a couple of years now. I own 3 stangs already an '03GT and 2 '85 hatches. I know how desireable these trunks are and my question is should I back half it and make a street/STRIP car out of it or just put an 8.8 and some 10.5 inch tires behind it and go racing. Im thinking either a supercharged carbed 347 or a N/A 408 stroker. Which one should I go with on this light stang.

all in how fast you want to go and how much you want to spend. We made it into the 9's with 10 inch slicks pulled by a SC 347.

The tracks we mostly run are 1/8 mile. If I could get into the low to mid 6's, that would be fine with me. I have no desire to go faster than that. I mostly want a BADASS street car that I can take to the track and then lay down some good numbers.

We run 6.3@110 to 6.8@105 based on weather and track conditions. All on 10" slicks.

well first some states will not inspect a car that has been tubbed[:@] check that out.....you could mini tub it to put some nice 12.50's under it..of coarse with a large hammer and some muscle you could do with out mini tubes..... also a thought is to use a 200 shot this way the car will only get abused in races

If anybody has been watching Horsepower TV or MuscleCar on Spike TV, I think this is the direction I want to go in with the 4 link. That car is bad already and it still has a weak motor!

Yeah they were showing you how to adjust the 4 link for traction. They finally got him hooked up and now they are going to put a turbo on it. Ill stick with spray or a blower. But I like the setup they have on that mustang and it would still be streetable which is what Im looking for!!!
