Personally, I think 185's would only be good if you are strip only, for a street/strip car, 165 would give you a lot better low-midrange. But then again, everyone hates on my combo who doesnt understand heads/cams and compression ratios, so what do i know?

Also, you can increase that lift a bit, up to .54X works ok on teh street if you dont mind sacrificing a bit of bottom end. With AFR's, i wouldnt think of using such a low lift cam, defeats the purpose as lots of lesser heads flow pretty good under the curve, AFR's just keep GOING on up through the lift range.

TY Mr. Big,

I am assuming you have been in the game long enough to know that even though my cam is large for my head-flow the extra compression (10.5:1 as opposed to 9.5:1 for un-milled GT40P heads) allows me to run a larger cam with a negligable loss down low and the GT40P's have GREAT numbers under the curve. People focus too hard on what they read: "200cfm intake" and .542 lift" and dont know how things are going to react in teh real world. Hell, STOCK UNPORTED GT40p's have run in the 10's already. NOt everything is black and white, ITS A COMBO, not a stand-alone part. The only thing ****ty in my combo is my 670SA carb.

I have a friend with the same mods as me except: electric instead of flex fan, LT's vs. shorties, and trickflow heads and comp cam. He ran 13.9@101. HE HAS THE SAME EXACT CARB AS ME! Now...you gonna tell him his combo is **** too? I think its just teh carb...TY MR BIG.
