Broken pedestal mount rocker fulcrum
Ahhhh....I broke a damn pedestal, or fulcrum whatever it's really called. I have Ford Racing 1.6 aluminum roller rockers that came with my original Crate 392 from Ford. I broke piece that the rocker arm rests in and rolls in....where in the world do I find another one...I've already checked summit and jegs, comp cams, crane, ford online....no luck
Thanks

RE: Broken pedestal mount rocker fulcrum
mdvaldosta,
Forgive my ignorance as the valvetrain is something I am trying to learn about more and more, but what would the studs and the guideplates give me over my 5/16 bolts without pushrod guideplates? I do already have hardened pushrods so I suppose the guideplates wouldn't be an issue.
Still also don't know where to get the pedestal itself.

RE: Broken pedestal mount rocker fulcrum
If you just wanna replace your stock setup, just go to a boneyard and yank them off another small block. Stud systems are alot stronger than pedastal mounts, they keep you from breaking stuff (you know what I mean hehe). The hardened pushrods are needed with the guideplates, so since you have them you wont need to buy them. So, if I were you I would upgrade to the studs and guideplates, but if your on a budget then go to a boneyard

RE: Broken pedestal mount rocker fulcrum
So what all is involved in switching to a stud mount system? Is is simply a stud to replace my 5/16 allen bolts, and bolt on some guideplates? How and where do the guideplates attach?
Thanks
Thanks
