Location of BYPASS VALVE?
i am trying to find the location of the bypass valve on my car, because i'm having a problem with my strim not kicking in fully and the fuel pressure is going up to 60lbs which is ok, but when i left off the gas the pressure stays up there......anybody know if looking at the bypass valve will help? i've looked at the FMU and the diaghram inside but everything there seems to be ok, and i have a new fuel regualtor and fuel filter as well....

RE: Location of BYPASS VALVE?
I thought a bypass valve was like a waste gate, in that it relieves the boost when you let off the throttle so it doesnt pop your manifold off or whatever? Maybe you're thinking of like the vaucum port on the adjustable fuel regulator? Either your regulator doesnt have one or its just not hooked up? Cause on the regulators fuel pressure goes up with the more throttle, when you take the vacuum port off its supposed to simulate how much fuel pressure you would be at, at WOT. So my first thought would be you don't have your vacuum port hooked up. I don't have a S/C or anything so I'm not sure what all comes in those kits or how those act so my info might not even be close, never hurts to try.

well, where is the fuel regulator located at.......i'm not sure what comes with the s/c kit either......was my brothers car, and he's not around. The i have enough fuel pressure but when i get on it, the pressure builds up which is good but the the s/c doesn't engage continously...it's on and off.....like if you were to just press the gas pedal down and let off.........
