FAWK!!!

So we spent 3 hours making runs and testing the fuel pump and the maf to see if it was pegged because the tunner could not tune out the lean condition that occured at around 4300-4500rpm. We did not go past 5000rpm cause it was too lean.

We did make alot more horsepower compared to the previous owners run. I also made 5.5psi of boost at 5000rpm so I should be seeing over 6psi at 6000rpm.

Note the fuel ratio leaning out. He had no problem controlling the fuel below 4300-4500rpms. Fuel pressure was good and stable during the run. We bumped it to 60psi and it ran richer but still leaned out at the same rpm. MAF read 3.8v at at 5000rpm, so it is not pegged. The only thing we can think of it the injectors are plugged. I don't have any history on the injectors so they might be old.

Anyways anyone know where to get a good deal on some 42lb injectors? I hoping 330hp and 350ftlbs....

you're picking up about 70rwhp from the blower, which is about right for a 6psi centrif. s/c

previous owners 230 was pathetic, I dyno'd 218 off my bone stock engine with MAF and timing only.
your power curve stops at 5,000rpm on these engines anyway so dont worry about that.

42# injector should help with WOT high rpm lean issue. Expensive though.
I wouldnt worry about it personally....... just dont redline it..... you're really not loosing
any power above 5,000 with current mods.

Gonna need some heads and cam to really need 42's and to get more power.

You may get a tiny bit more HP, but I'd say it will pretty much level and drop off after 5,000 rpm.
You should see the HP and TQ match up at 5,250 and then drop down (from the photo I can see the TQ is already leveling off and will drop.)

With 42# injectors you should be able to tune right around the need for a fuel regulator also.
I have a Superchip in my setup.

42's would be too big and will cause idle issues....30's are about right... what is total timing at???? also those heads you have about 5k is all you;ll see......you have a maf problem...has your 'puter been set to incorp the injector to the maf?...a chip is needed for this because the 'puter needs the calibration that the lighten maf doesn't provide like the c/l unit
