Default advice on a 1986 mustang gt

i have a chance to buy a 1986 gt convt for 3000 would like to know if you think is good deal

No i think you can get a better deal that that on a 90-95 model 5.0....but if you like that body and the convertible thing than by all mean buy it if it has a reasonable amount of miles on it.

if orig engine and decent shape thats not a bad deal... on a convert////i paid 150.00 on mine and a few chevy motors.. it had no m/t and was in ok cond.. i say go for it

i dont get it the 87-93s go for like 5.5k+ and everyone is like thats a great deal and then the 4 eyes 3k is too much. i would pay more for an 84-86 then the 87-93's i think they are harder to find and look so much better

The 86 is a harder motor to mod though. No notched pistons could end up with piston to valve issues...
