Default Need some help. Top end issues.

I have a 2001 Ford Ranger with a 5.0L conversion and it's been set up for drag racing. I currently have the PCM/MAF/injector kit from FRPP PN: M-9000-C52 which includes an X3Z computer, 24# injectors, and 70mm mass air sensor. It's all supposed to be matched, but something just doesn't feel right. It idles ok and runs good on the bottom and up through the mid-range, but it goes flat toward the top end. It's an E-303 cammed long block crate engine from FRPP PN: M-6007-XE3M . I'm running a GT-40 intake with a 70mm throttle body. Exhaust is currently stock 94-95 Mustang manifolds into a custom bent 2.5 inch system with 2.5 inch h-pipe and Bullet race mufflers. Ignition is controlled by an MSD Pro Billet distibutor, 6AL box, FRPP wires, and Denso Iridium Plugs. It has an Aeromotive A1000 pump with -8 feed and -6 return with an Aeromotive pressure regulator and a base fuel pressure of 42 psi. The transmission is an Art Carr C4 with a 3500 rpm stall 9.5 inch converter. The rear-end is an 8.8 with 4:10 gears and a Detroit Locker. Tires are 275-60-R15 BFG Drag radials in back with 27.5 x 4.5 skinnies up front. The engine pulls really well through 1st and 2nd gear. I'm running high 1.70's in the 60 foot and a little over 80 mph in the 1/8th. That's where it ends though. Once I hit third gear it goes flat from about 5100 rpm on up. I'm not the smartest guy, but I'm pretty sure this engine should easily pull up through or aboive 5500 rpm. I'm hoping someone has some suggestions on what I can do to improve performance on the top end. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
